Tom joined the Reds on a two-year contract following a very successful trial period with the club in pre-season.
Denton, is a 6'5'' centre forward who has previously played with Mossley, Wakefield Emley and Huddersfield Town who signed him from Wakefield for a £60,000 fee in August 2008 after he had scored regularly.
Loan spells whilst with Huddersfield were spent at Woking, Cheltenham Town and Wakefield but he did not make the first team with the Terriers and was released in June 2010 and re-signed for Wakefield finishing as their top scorer in the 2010/11 season.
Tom spent the second half of the 2011/12 campaign with Mossley, scoring 15 times for them.
