Player Profiles - Craig Disley

Craig Disley signed for Alfreton on a two year deal at the end of May 2017 . He is mainly a midfielder but can play out wide if required. He was John McDermott's first new signing.

A box to box midfielder Craig began his career at Mansfield Town, where he made 141 appearances, scoring 16 goals. In 2001-02 he made his mark on the Strags first team as they gained promotion into the third tier of the Football League. 

Disley then decided to join Bristol Rovers in July 2004, making 203 appearances and scoring 25 times also helping them win promotion into the third tier. He joined Shrewsbury Town in May 2009 but injuries restricted the his number of  appearances.  

He joined Grimsby Town in June 2011 and became a key midfielder for them over the next five years. He made 234 appearances and scored 34 goals helping the Mariners to win promotion back into the Football League in 2015-16. He was then released at the end of the 2016-17 season.
