Player Profiles 2017/18 - Chris Sharp

Alfreton Town signed forward Chris Sharp from Bradford Park Avenue in June 2017 on a one year contract.

Chris aged 30 is the son of former Everton and Scotland striker Graeme and has had spells with Marine, The New Saints, Telford and Colwyn Bay.

He started his career in Wales with Rhyl before joining  Bangor City where he scored 33 goals in 40 games. That form secured him a move to the New Saints where he scored 22 goals in 29 appearances winning the Welsh league title and appearing in the Champions League.

He moved onto Telford scoring 15 goals in their first season back in the Conference. Spells at Lincoln City, Hereford United and Stockport County followed, before he joined Colwyn Bay in the summer of 2015.  Chris then switched to Marine in December 2015 before joining Bradford Park Avenue.

Sharp made 25 starts for Avenue in the 2016/17 season plus a further 17 substitute appearances, netting five goals. This made him the joint second highest goal-scorer for the Avenue.
