Player Profiles 2017/18 - Chris Moyses (Manager)

Chris Moyses became Alfreton's new manager in January 2018 following the parting of company with John McDermott.

He was a defender playing in the Football League between 1982 and 1986 for Lincoln City and Halifax Town.

He moved into non-league making his debut for Boston United as a substitute in their 5-3 Lincolnshire Senior Cup win over Grimsby Town in April 1985, moving to Shepshed Charterhouse and then Grantham Town making his debut in their 1-0 defeat at Hednesford Town in October 1985.

He made 26 appearances for Hednesford in the Southern League, Midland Division, before leaving at the end of that season.

Moyses became assistant manager at Lincoln United in 2009, in February 2010 he was appointed as manager of Lincoln Moorlands Railway helping them to gain 22 points from their final 11 games to avoid relegation from the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

He steered them to their highest ever position of 6th in season 2010-2011, leaving to invest and coach at the Lincoln City Centre of Excellence.

In November 2014 he became caretaker manager at Lincoln City after Gary Simpson left and one month later was appointed as manager on a rolling 12 month contract. Moyses left Sincil Bank in May 2016 when he was replaced by Danny Cowley
