Steve is a former Rotherham United Academy product who progressed to the Millers' first team, gaining a two-year deal in April 2007. His consistent displays brought several Premier League scouts to watch him.
After another terrific season in 2007/08, he unfortunately sustained a horrendous double fracture of his leg which put him out of the game for 14 months.
He returned to Rotherham's first team at the end of the 2008/09 campaign after which he went out on loan to Stalybridge Celtic in January 2011 where he scored on his debut in a 5-3 defeat against Alfreton Town!
Steve made a total of 76 appearances for Rotherham.
